did I say thanks?

I probably haven't said it often enough...but thank you for reading Party Perfect! There are more days then I would like to admit when I think of taking this blog off my to-do list, but your comments and feedback keep me going. Thank you particularly to my faithful readers and commenters  (I know who you are!), I am always inspired by your creative endeavors. Thank you for sharing your special moments with family and friends, I get a tremendous amount of pleasure from getting to be a part of your celebrations, albeit vicariously through photographs and stories.

And thank you for the shout-outs on your blogs, too- I have felt embraced by this wonderful blog community. Recent mentions at Once Wed and For Your Inspiration were especially nice.

can I just say thank you?

I was so thrilled to be asked to be a part of this year's Cause for Paws committee- a yearly luncheon put on to benefit the Nashville Humane Society. I have had 'volunteer more' on my to-do list for a long time, so I jumped at the opportunity. But then I found out what I would be doing... asking for donations. For me- you might as well be asking me to fly around the country (hate flying) or give a speech in public (terrifying)- so the thought of backing out of the commitment definitely crossed my mind more then once. The thought of those dear animals, however- kept me going- particularly this year when so many pets are being abandoned due to economic circumstances. This isn't exactly an ideal year to ask for help- and while I definitely got more then a handful of no's, I was overwhelmed and so appreciative of all the yes' I did receive!

thank you

Thank you to Chelsea of Frolic, and Meg of Designer's Library (who is guest blogging for Design Sponge this week) for the shout-outs! They are both favorites of mine, so it is a huge honor. Meg- thanks for the opportunity to show off my desk! I actually moved it out to the living room to photograph it for your post (the light was better) and decided it looked better out there as a console table. A happy discovery, as I am in the midst of decorating our newly renovated house!
